17,000 over three days ...

Approximately 17,000 people walked through the turnstiles at Frontier Field on August 18th – 20th. More than 6,000 came for the opening night service and heard a powerful message from Nicky Cruz with many responding to the altar call that followed.

Then on Saturday morning the rain came. But there came a sense that God was speaking to us through the weather. It felt like a cleansing rain, and it seemed to bring a greater display of faith by all the participants. I believe God was the One who ordered the weather, and He was using it to test our faith and devotion to Him.

All three sessions on Saturday saw people saved, filled with the Holy Spirit, and delivered. Nicky Cruz’s message on loneliness Saturday night went deep into the hearts of many. Again, the altar call was filled with broken and contrite hearts.

Then came Sunday. Wow! What a day that was! 1500 people attended the Sunday morning worship service as the sun shone brightly. Reggie Dabbs gave a stirring message with many coming forward. I think it was a reminder that there are many hurting people right in our own churches.

The afternoon service was a corporate prayer gathering where several of the Pastors from the city of Rochester led us in a time of repentance, using the 10 Commandments as their guide. A deep sense of brokenness was experienced by many.

At the healing service Sunday night, again the rain was falling. Although the service went almost 4 hours, people testified that though they were in the rain, they didn’t really get wet. It was truly amazing. At the altar call, we invited people to come down on the field. The Pastors who had gathered anointed their hands with oil and prayed for healing
